Ahswani Kumar today debuted for Mumbai Indians in the 12th Match of IPLT20 2025 against Kolkata Knight Riders.Ashwani Kumar had a dream debut for himself by taking wicket of Captain of KKR i.e. Ajinkya Rahane getting him caught out on deep cover by Tilak Verma’s juggling catch effort and took another important wicket of explosive batter Rinku Singh caught by Naman Dhir ,along with more exciting wicket of set batter impact player for KKR  Manish Pandey and reduced KKR to 80-7 .Next wicket for him was Andre Russel bwoled on a length ball.A more wicket of Venktaesh Iyer could have fallen with half chance of catch by Santner ,but never the less he was superbly impressive in his opening spell and middle overs made him the new star of IPL 2025.

Gnereally, according to commentators he bowls in the 2nd half of the match overs i.e. after 10th overs but MI skipper Hardik gave him a opening spell of two overs  which proved to be a positive result.
